People Operations Lead (Remote)

The Remo People Operations team strives to create and deliver a seamless and positive employee experience across the entire employee lifecycle. Our team provides consistent service and support across people process, operations, and program management. We’re looking for people to help shape the culture and future of our team, and create a meaningful work experience for all.This role is a strategic partner to the leadership of the business, driving the development of a strategy aligned with our organizational and people needs. This role is also responsible for the execution of the people strategy, operational plans, and roadmap for the business unit, working in partnership with key stakeholders. As an ambassador for Remo culture, you’ll work closely with a variety of people across all departments and be the 'go to' person for building a great place to work. You’ll create and manage a wide variety of people programs and initiatives to drive engagement throughout all aspects of the employee experience and enable our teams to do their best work. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop and deploy operational initiatives and projects targeted at improving employee experience
  • Establish opportunities for meaningful team engagement by reimagining current company events, activities and daily interactions  
  • Develop a deep understanding of what contributes to our team’s current and future success and work with senior leaders to build and adopt the necessary people programs to support our continued growth
  • Responsible for system enhancement creating efficiency and effectiveness of the operations as required
  • Be a trusted and reliable resource for our team by effectively troubleshooting both people and operational issues 
  • Oversee benefits administration, annual open enrollment, HR compliance and other miscellaneous HR processes
  • Manage the day-to-day work of the People Operations team, performing operational duties required to keep the process running consistently
  • Be accountable for overall compliance with local legislations from HR perspective
  • Mentor, provide and organise training and development to optimize performance, create organizational depth and individual growth for members
  • Oversee and develop the communication of and training on all People operational process efficiencies and improvements; develop decks for training and documentation
  • Create and maintain process documentation for all People Operations processes and provide training to team members as applicable
  • Manage a people operations team to cover core HR functions: employee relations & experience, HRIS and data, compensation and benefits, training, development and onboarding.
  • Work alongside our Head of Talent to collaborate on projects regarding recruitment, employer branding and diversity
  • Own all aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding operations
  • Take a data driven approach to guide strategic decisions within the People Operations function (i.e. engagement survey results, retention/turnover stats, etc.) 
  • Update and maintain the organization chart and create clear pathways for career development for each team member
Experience And Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Human Resources or a related field is preferred
  • 5+ years of HR/People Operations experience in a startup and/or mid-size organization (up to 200 staff)
  • Has knowledge of ATS systems
  • Strong knowledge of People-related standard operating procedures
  • Knowledge of regional employment law and policy required (our staff are based in 15+ countries)
  • Warm, positive, personable with a genuine interest in people. You set the tone and tend to attract people to you
  • Experience successfully identifying, implementing and adopting people programs and initiatives
  • Strong understanding of the importance of company culture and the responsibility to help create and evolve it
  • Well versed in drafting effective and engaging company wide communication
  • Ability to establish strong relationships with people at all levels of the organization
  • Strong sense of integrity and confidentiality when working with highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Strikingly unique balance of excellent communication and time management skills coupled with an extreme attention to detail and sense of urgency
  • Creative, critical thinker and problem solver
  • Possess personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to corporate mission
  • Experience in improving and identifying issues in processes, suggesting user focused improvements, and navigating/influencing cross-functional teams to drive these changes
