Remo Conference ( helps creators, coaches, and event organizers create immersive online events right from your computer Chrome browser where users can learn and connect with each other just like real life, right from your computer browser. Remo is the first web-video platform that allows people to have face-to-face networking online just like in-person events that build meaningful relationships and conversations.

Why this role matters
As a Developer community event organiser your main responsibilities will be to build relationships and support technology communities by leveraging Remo to help them achieve their goals. You will be the interface between developer communities and Remo. You will empower local and international developer communities initially by encouraging them to host events on Remo. Afterwards you will be asked to also reach out to other industries outside of developer communities and organise events in key market niches.
What You Will Do

  • Reach out to developer communities, establish relationships, and encourage communities to use Remo to host events to help expand their community
  • Connecting with speakers and influencers and inviting them to speak at Remo organised events
  • Organise and host virtual events
  • Attend and participate in local meetups to raise awareness of Remo
  • Represent yourself and Remo at hackathons, on sponsorship booths, at meetups and conferences and by giving talks
  • Create opportunities for other Remo employees to engage with developer communities

What You Will Bring
We’re looking for someone who is familiar with the local tech community and ecosystem - an excellent communicator with experience in establishing relationships and supporting developer communities.
What is required for application

  • Demonstrable knowledge of developer communities, events, and thought leaders
  • 2+ years in organising offline or online events
  • Love to interact with people and are great with engineers
  • High-functioning empathy
  • Ability to strike deals, identify the needs and goals of others and creating win-win situations
  • Experience giving technical talks within an organisation, at meetups, or at events
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • You want to be part of the paradigm shift to move past normal boring webinar virtual events
  • You are collaborative, low-ego, and results-driven
  • You like making impactful contributions but also enjoy helping others do the same
  • You want to work with founders in a fast-growing startup with excellent investors
  • Interest or passion to evangelise through speaking & writing
