Senior Data Analyst / Senior Business Analyst (Remote)

About you:

You are an experienced Data Ninja with strong insights, knack for analysis and data management and manipulation skills. You join the data and the dots between business health, performance indicators, product performance and customer experience. You have experience of working with startups and you love the agility, pace, scope of work, range of opportunities and problems to solve that the startup environment provides you. You will have a passion for solving data challenges, architecting data solutions and extracting data insights out of information.  You love working fully remotely with a diverse, dynamic and dispersed team.

You’re comfortable with CAC, LTV, MRR, ARR, ACV, TCV, NRR, Churn and other SaaS and business metrics and understand the mechanics behind the core metrics.  

You will have:

  • 6+ years plus experience in a fast paced, agile B2B/ B2B2C, SaaS environment
  • Degree level Qualification in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, MIS, Information Management or equivalent quantitative fields or practical experience 
  • Intermediate / advanced query proficiency  (SQL) 
  • Advanced Python 
  • Functional knowledge of data mapping, management and design
  • Creative and honed problem solving skills with excellent attention to detail 
  • Experience with web analytics tools especially understanding and setting events/signals
  • Strong experience with data visualization tools
  • Great communication skills and you can adapt your style to clearly express ideas to both technical and non technical audiences
  • Drive to question which metrics add value and why, and an even stronger drive to prevent vanity metrics from running rampant
  • Skill at working cross functionally and leveraging stakeholders, subject matter experts and valuable resources across the business to assist you in delivering our data requirements 
  • Evolved  critical thinking with a logical and systematic approach to creating solutions 

Ideally you will be based in Asia in one of the following regions: India, Pakistan, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand. 

About the Role: 

  • You will be reporting to and working closely with the CRO (Chief Revenue Officer) Management team and others at Remo to continuously enhance our data architecture , data management, and data analysis capabilities 
  • You will develop and  improve reporting capabilities, metrics and dashboards from primary and secondary data sources 
  • You will develop and maintain databases, data systems -  reorganizing data in readable and concisely digestible  formats 
  • You will manage and maintain Remo’s regular suite of reports 
  • You will take an active and proactive approach in leading reviews in collaboration with others to further improve our Data Sets
  • You will conduct data analysis including stating trends, patterns and predictions using relevant data
  • Running queries and manipulating large disparate data sets into concise reports 
  • Identifying continuous improvement opportunities in our data management and reporting suite 
  • You will deliver and drive data insights throughout Remo, helping to support data driven decision making and identifying and to leverage data and analytics to improve business operations, performance and efficiency
  • Analyzing local, national, and global trends that impact both the organization and the industry

What you can expect to be working on: 

Months 1 - 3

  • Develop an in depth understanding of our customer journey and key business metrics including our business context and history
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of the company’s  business data requirements and current state to identify key gaps, make recommendations, and begin to implement change
  • Provide a range of data solutions and analysis to internal and external consumers
  • Audit current set up of app-specific data schemas and dashboards (e.g. Chargebee, Amplitude, Google Analytics and Hubspot), as a prelude to ensuring our company-wide data schemas are compatible
  • Following audit and review deliver revised versions of the dashboards currently in use


Months 3 - 6

  • Extend our dashboards and reporting suite
  • Become expert on key internal and external data sources 
  • Work with software, engineers, and management heads to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data management and governance strategies. 

12 months 

  • Prioritize sales growth through more intelligent and segmented customer and funnel analysis.
